RARELING is a mindbody practice resource for creatives and adventurers!

An unexplored mind is an unlived life. Exploring the mind through contemplative habits is a time-tested, science-backed way to live more fully, feel more sane, and have better relationships. It’s also a path to exploring the deeper questions of your reality and discovering your innate creativity. There is incredible potential lurking on the other side of your fears.

But, we know that finding these things in your own experience takes practice and support. We also know there’s a lot of confusing and half-baked information out there on mind and meditation. We want to fix that.

Founded by artist & teacher Tasha Schumann, RARELING is committed to presenting authentic tools and timeless wisdom from the world’s contemplative traditions in a way that is relevant to you and your life. We’re curating content, courses, and community for Rarelings everywhere 🙂

From definitive guides to guided meditations, RARELING is your source for insightful, in-depth, and authentic practice.

About the founder

Tasha Schumann

Tasha Schumann is a creator, community-builder, and explorer of the mind. She teaches meditation and yoga in both the Indo-Tibetan and Western traditions.

A teacher and practitioner of meditation and yoga, she has studied in the traditions of Nyingma, Kagyu, Gelug, Bön and the yogas of Hatha, Nejang, and Tsa Lung Trul Khor for over a decade. She was given the name Lama Karma Jigmé and authorized to teach by her root teacher, Lama Lena Yeshe Kaytup. She is also a student of Tenzin Bob Thurman, Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche, B. Alan Wallace, Dr. Nida Chenagtsang, and many others.

A graduate of the University of Toronto’s Psychology Research program and several Western contemplative modalities (CBRT, MBAR, MTER), she’s sought after for her ability to weave the esoteric and scientific into no-bullshit english.

Also an award-winning recording artist (Tasha the Amazon) her work has been featured widely – from HBO to Netflix, Comedy Central to video games – and she’s been profiled in places like Billboard Magazine, New York Magazine, and VICE.

But more than anything, she gets super excited about helping people explore the “WTF-IS-GOING-ON-HERE?!” of reality in whichever way she can – which includes mentoring artists and adventurers, teaching contemplative practices, and co-hosting the forthcoming Consciousness Explorer’s Podcast with author and fellow meditation nerd, Jeff Warren.
